Celebrating 40 years in business
Cleanrooms Australia is proudly family owned and operated with an impeccable reputation built on more than four decades of experience.
After completing a Defence Force apprenticeship, and a tour of duty in Vietnam, Cleanrooms Australia founder Marshall Paull was posted to Papua New Guinea where he completed his term in the Army, and joined Hungerford Refrigeration.
Building a considerable skill base installing refrigeration systems, and
often working in difficult conditions, it was during this time that Marshall gained first-hand experience and learned the importance of ingenuity and designing customised systems to satisfy particular client specifications .
After moving back to Australia, Marshall worked with EMAIL Commercial Equipment Division as a subcontractor, installing supermarket refrigeration, pipework and equipment. He also undertook a two-year night course in Application Engineering at Ultimo Technical College and won the James Kirby award in Application Engineering.
He also applied his skills to the luxury boat market where he continued to design and install custom refrigeration systems before moving into domestic and commercial air conditioning.
Marshall, Margot and partner Leif Thunestvedt continued with a talented team of 30 specialised staff to build the air conditioning business throughout the 1990s. In the wake of ‘the recession we had to have’, the business shifted focus to the cleanrooms market where Marshall and his team was well suited to meeting the complex standards, thorough supervision, attention to detail and desire to do the right thing as required to achieve validation in the highly specialised cleanrooms industry.
Today, Marshall and Margot’s sons – Benjamin and Andrew – exhibit the same values and talent and are ensuring Cleanrooms Australia is well prepared for the next generation of success as the business continues to deliver NATA validated turnkey cleanroom solutions to a diverse range of clients.
